Hampshire CAMHS shortlisted for multiple national healthcare awards

Our provider for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, has been shortlisted in three separate categories in the 2019 HSJ Awards.

Hampshire CAMHS, has also been shortlisted in the Community Mental Health Eating Disorders category at the 2019 National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards

Hampshire CAMHS provides specialist assessment, treatment and support to children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders.

The Specialist Eating Disorder Service provides treatment and support to children and young people, as well as their families - who are experiencing an eating disorder.

Dr Andy Whitfield, Clinical Director for HIOW CCG Partnership said, “This shortlisting is a very welcome recognition of how partnership working is bringing in service improvements across Hampshire. Congratulations to Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and here’s wishing them success at the forthcoming ceremonies.”

Helen Dove, Innovation and Participation Lead for Hampshire CAMHS, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be finalists for the HSJ awards, along with being proud and very shocked. This feels like such a huge validation for all the hard work that we have put in to these projects. It’s really exciting and we can’t wait to be part of a celebration with so many other amazing national innovations.”  

Dr Emily David, Senior Clinical Psychologist for Hampshire CAMHS, said: “As a team we are honoured and proud to be recognised at a national level for the second year running at these awards where the very best practice and mental health services are celebrated.

“As a service we are committed to providing the very best care that we can for young people and their families experiencing eating disorders and we are so pleased to be given the chance to contribute to and share excellence and innovative practice with other organisations that are part of the Positive Practice Collaboration.”

Winners in the HSJ awards will be announced at a ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London on Wednesday 6 November 2019.

The 2019 National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards ceremony will be on Thursday 10 October 2019 at Duxford Air Museum in Cambridge.
